WORKSHOP : Modernizing Legacy Applications

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Are you looking to migrate and modernise legacy Windows applications before the Windows Server 2008 End of Support? In this workshop, we will take a deep dive into modernising a legacy .NET 2.0 application with a SQL Server 2005 database backend. We'll introduce key Habitat concepts, such as the plan file, the Habitat Studio, and the BLDR depot.

You will leave with a deeper knowledge of how to take a legacy application and remove dependencies on the underlying operating system, allowing you to migrate to supported and more secure infrastructure.

Pre Requisites
Attendees do not require any prior knowledge of Habitat, or of .NET applications. Remote workstations will be provided - you will need a laptop with Remote Desktop installed in order to connect to these.
